Mastering logistics to deliver humanitarian aid where it’s needed

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) Humanitarian Aid Program improves the lack of access to care and treatment by providing much-needed support to emerging countries. This support comes in the form of donated factor and non-factor replacement therapy, training, and education. The process of delivering donated product in the fastest, most reliable, and most efficient way possible is a key challenge for the Program, and one it consistently meets day after day, year after year. In this article, we cover the steps involved in delivering humanitarian aid—a practice that is often invisible to the recipient, but essential to the WFH vision of Treatment for All.

The post Mastering logistics to deliver humanitarian aid where it’s needed appeared first on World Federation of Hemophilia.

Non-factor replacement therapy is a life-changer for youth from Barbados

Rhōnan Boyce from Barbados was six months old when his parents first noticed a large bruise on his arm. Like many parents, they expected the doctors to prescribe medication and reassure them that everything would be fine. Sadly, the bruise proved to be caused by hemophilia. The next decade of the boy’s life was one of acute bleeds, frequent treatments and interrupted studies—until non-factor replacement therapy provided by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) completely changed his life.

The post Non-factor replacement therapy is a life-changer for youth from Barbados appeared first on World Federation of Hemophilia.
